Village Books
The pre-loved book shelves from which villagers may borrow or buy books are located in the village church and can be accessed any time that the building itself is open.
We have a good selection of fiction, including thrillers, romance, historical fiction and fantasy, which is updated regularly through new donations or people swapping their books. There are also some children's books. Any monies paid for books can be left in the money box that's set into the wall.
Please note: We no longer stock non-fiction, nor are we able to take donations of these books.
Suggested prices are:
£1.50 for paperbacks
£2 for hardbacks.
This money goes towards the upkeep of the church and repairs such as those currently needed on the clock.
Anybody wishing to donate books can leave a small bagful by the book shelves.
